Studentship is a personal and unique experience and adventure for everyone. As for me, my dream and goal has always been to forge my own path and to find my true professional identity, and Northern Arctic Federal University facilitated the realization of this aim. During these four years I’ve been studying not only in my major educational field, I’ve also finished the courses of professional retraining in translation and intercultural communication and got the diploma of Nord University (Norway) with a bachelor degree in Circumpolar sciences. Moreover, I travelled across the globe and visited five countries in pursuit of knowledge and new acquaintances. Hence, the range of my interests is wide, but at the end of my major bachelor’s programme I’ve understood what exactly I desire to do in the future and how I’m able to contribute to our society.
If you are really keen on foreign languages and want to learn more about foreign cultures, traditions and peculiarities, the Department of General and Germanic Linguistics in our Institute of Humanities in Severodvinsk will be an excellent knowledge broker for every person, it will encourage your development and provide you with all the necessary tools and opportunities. Of course, you’ll have to work hard to hit a home run, because the process of learning foreign languages is a huge painstaking work and continuous self-perfection. As the saying goes: «Per aspera ad astra». However, the following can be claimed for sure – teaming up with such a professional and enthusiastic academic staff, you fear nothing. The main thing is not to give up and move forward, and you will always be helped and supported in all your activities and groundbreaking ideas!
